This symposium is a rare opportunity for those who specialise in clinical practice and research on Down's syndrome to come together and consider current, important developments in prevalent medical conditions.

The day will be split into 4 parts, with a mix of child health and adult health topic areas covered, each one to include presentations from leading experts followed by open audience participation. The symposium aims to bring together leading professionals and thinkers to take the conversation forward in areas where it is merited, all with the aim of improving healthcare outcomes.       

If you are a healthcare provider who works with people with Down's syndrome this is a “must attend” event and your input on the day will be very much appreciated.

Social Functions

Welcome Civic Reception - Wednesday 25th July 2018

The City of Glasgow aims to give every delegate a warm welcome to the city. The Lord Provost of Glasgow (City Mayor) will personally welcome delegates at a drinks reception at the Glasgow Science Centre. Just a short walk from the SEC across the river Clyde, the Glasgow Science Centre gives delegates the opportunity to mingle over three floors of fascinating interactive exhibits, as well as see the spectacular cityscape views.

This social event is free of charge, however please indicate your attendance below.

Gala Dinner - Friday 27th July 2018

Our packed three days will end with a Gala Dinner.  Once again at the Hilton Hotel, the Ballroom will have been transformed into an elegant setting for a delicious three course meal and the inspiring Down Syndrome International Awards Ceremony.  After dancing the night away, we’ll say a fond farewell to all the new friends we’ve made with promises to see each other again “For Auld Lang Syne”. Terms and Conditions

Registration Cancellation Policy:
On or Before 24th October 2017 - 100% of registration fee refunded less a £30 administration fee
On or after 25th October 2017 - 75% of registration fee refunded 
On or after 24th January 2018 - 50% of registration fee refunded 
On or after 25th April 2018 - 25% of registration fee refunded 
After 25th June 2018 - we regret NO refunds will be made, but named substitutions can be made at any time 

Please note if you pre-register and do not attend the conference you will be charged your participation fee and will be required to settle any outstanding balances.  

Cancelled Social Event Tickets
Cancelled social event tickets will be refunded after the Congress provided that written notice is received by the Event Team at (info@wdsc2018.co.uk) by 22nd June 2018.

In the unlikely case of cancellation of the event, the organisers shall not accept liability for any consequential loss and shall have no liability to reimburse any other costs that may have been incurred, including transport costs, accommodation etc. Delegates are encouraged to take out travel insurance when making travel and accommodation arrangements.

Payment
Payment of registration fees should be made by one of the following methods:

Credit/Debit Card:
Payment by credit/debit card is available only through the online form. We accept VISA and Mastercard.

Bank Transfer/Payment by Invoice:
If you select to pay via bank transfer your invoice will be attached to the confirmation letter you will receive upon completing your registration. Please ensure you pass this invoice to your accounts department for prompt payment, payment is due 3 months prior to the conference (no later than Friday 27th April).

Terms and Conditions of Registration

Payment deadline and conditions:
Full payment must be received before the corresponding registration deadline to benefit from early registration fee. Any registration fees still outstanding two weeks after the close of the early bird deadline will be automatically upgraded to the late registration fee.

Cancellations of registration:
Notification of cancellation must be made in writing and sent to the WDSC Delegate Services Team at info@wdsc2018.co.uk. Substitutions/replacements can be made at any time.

Cancellation and refund policy:
All applicable refunds will be made after the conference. 
Bank service charges and all administration fees will be deducted from all conference registration refunds.
