Details

The European Commission agreed on strengthening the CO2 emission standards for heavy-duty vehicles (HDV). The new target is an emission reduction of -45% by 2030. Massive investments in new truck technologies and infrastructure will be necessary to reach these targets. This session, organised by EC-JRC, ALICE, ERTRAC and 2ZERO, focusses on the various aspects needed to make Zero Emission HDVs (ZE HDV) reality. Research, standardization, stakeholder requirements, R&I projects (AEVETO cluster) and financial assessments are crucial for ZE-HDV value chain deployment. A panel discussion with relevant representatives of the ZE-HDV ecosystem will be held. The session aims to identify the current barriers and future research needs essential for ZE-HDV adoption. Speakers: Manasa Sridhar (IVECO Group) Carlo De Grandis (EC DG CLIMA) Billy Hann (Dublin Bus) Thomas Asp (CEDR/Trafikverket) Andrea Condotta (Gruber Logistics) Bidisha Ghosh (Trinity College Dublin) Moderator: Jette Krause (EC JRC)
