As the demand for transport increases and customers ask for more personalised services, will flying taxis, “moving infrastructure” Pods, maglev trains and hyperloop be part of the future mobility system?
The European Commission’s Sustainable and Smart Mobility Strategy is committed to proactively shaping the future mobility by developing and validating new disruptive technologies. The session addresses disruptive guided transport solutions covered in the Multi-Annual Work Programme of the Europe’s Rail Joint Undertaking. It presents the concepts and the maturity of these technologies. Can these technologies be connected, complementary and/or beneficial to the current transport networks and proven solutions?
