Objectives To examine the challenges and drivers shaping the future of the transport sector and how public agencies across the world are planning to address these through refocusing their mission and vision on societal values, envisioning their future operating models, organizational structures, workforce, and cultures. Part 1 – Challenges: Keynote presentation on critical challenges faced by the transport sector and panel discussion on challenges and drivers shaping the sector. (TRB’s Critical Issues of Transportation) Part 2 – On-Going Research: Keynote presentations on PIARC’s Envisioning the Transport Agency of the Future & AASHTO’s Moonshot Projects and panel discussion on how this can be achieved through on-going research.
