Implementation leadership concerns the behaviours leaders engage in that emphasise and support evidence-based practice (EBP) implementation (Aarons, et al., 2014). First level managers (e.g. ward /service manager), mid-level leaders (Assistant Director of Nursing, consultants), and executive leaders create a climate that enables or impedes implementation of EBP. The aim of this workshop is to
Define the attributes of implementation leadership and implementation climate including assessment tools.
Discuss the role of first and mid-level leaders in implementing EBP
Examine the transferability and application of a define strategy ‘Leadership & Organisational Change for Implementation (LOCI) to an Irish health care context.
The workshop is for health care professionals and researchers engaged in implementing and sustaining changes in evidence based practice among health care teams.
