This workshop is led by Dr Timmy Frawley and members of the ‘Making UCD a Neurodiversity Friendly Campus’ research team. The following topics will be explored: I. Introduction Welcome and Introductions Overview of Neurodiversity Defining Neurodiversity Common Neurodivergences (Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Dyslexia, etc.) Dispelling Myths and Stereotypes II. Understanding Neurodivergent Perspectives Panel Discussion Challenges Faced in Education and Healthcare Successful Strategies for Support Creating Inclusive Environments Group Discussions on real-world scenarios III. Collaborating with Neurodivergent Individuals Importance of Communication and Empathy Building Trusting Relationships Resource Sharing - Tools and Technologies for Support Person – Environment Fit Closing Remarks
