Details
This session will portrait the housing challenges currently faced by several European cities and how local governments have been pioneering innovative policies to solve the housing crisis: from increasing the public, social and cooperative housing stock, to ensuring a just and inclusive energy transition, or protecting tenants from the rise of short-term rentals. It will also provide insights as to how cities across Europe are organizing to work closely with EU institutions to deliver more ambitious housing policies in the framework of the European Affordable Housing Plan and the pan-European investment platform.
