This AbbVie promotional symposium for UK healthcare professionals, “Stopping with confidence: Fixed duration therapies in 1L CLL,” will explore data on fixed-duration treatment approaches in first-line chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL). The programme will include review of recent clinical evidence and discuss considerations for fixed-duration treatment strategies in clinical practice, taking into account patient characteristics, disease risk factors, and shared decision-making. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear expert perspectives and interact with the panel. This promotional symposium is organised and funded by AbbVie UK and is intended for UK healthcare professionals only. AbbVie products will be discussed. Dr Helen Marr is a Consultant Haematologist at the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle upon Tyne. She specialises in CLL and lymphoma and is the clinical lead for CLL in Newcastle. She is the deputy chair of the UK CLL Forum and sits on the national CLL study group. She is the RDN specialty group lead for cancer research in the North East and North Cumbria and is the Chair of the North of Tyne malignant haematology MDT.

Speaker Two

Dr Satyen Gohil is a Consultant Haematologist at University College London Hospitals (UCLH) NHS Foundation Trust with expertise in chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL), lymphoma, and related haematological malignancies, and he is actively involved in clinical trials to advance treatment approaches. He also has a specialist interest in rare immune dysregulation disorders, including haemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) and histiocytic disorders, serving as a core member of a national HLH multidisciplinary team. Alongside his clinical work, he has a strong academic background in immune-based therapies and translational research, and contributes to national collaborations, education, and evidence-based practice in haematology.
