Room 11B & C, Upper Level

Details

We are planning to focus our entire session on case-based discussion and interactive questions. The cases and discussions will focus on ongoing clinical trials in UK, with emphasis on novel therapeutic approach including transplant strategies and management of overlap disorders (CMML and MDS/MPN) available to haematologists in UK. The patient cases will focus on trial options available for low risk MDS after EPO failure and higher risk MDS beyond 5-azacytidine. We will also focus on lower risk MDS with high risk genetic/clinical features and the blurring of boundaries between MDS & AML, from stem cell transplantation perspective. Management of MDS/MPN, especially CMML, in UK will be highlighted from the successful delivery of AMML clinical trial, with implications on UK clinical practice.
